IIMAR is working towards an `Agreement for cooperation` with ` ReAct - Action on Antibiotic Resistance` - of Sweden.

IIMAR –ReAct cooperation – Availability of funds
Dear Friends
IIMAR  is working towards an `Agreement for cooperation`  with ` ReAct - Action on Antibiotic Resistance` - of Sweden. The agreement generally stipulates that we will work together towards a program for management of Antibiotic Resistance in particular in India and also cooperate internationally.
The program will generally include
·         Antibiotic resistance awareness and management - Field activities
  • Antibiotic resistance awareness and management -Web based activities
  • South Asian, South East Asian and Asian Initiatives
  • Aid to post-graduate students in Indian Universities for projects on infections, resistant bacteria, resistance management and similar projects

ReAct is likely to fund this programme to the tune of about Rs 10 Lakhs.
It is agreed that the fund will be hosted by the R.D. Gardi Medical College at Ujjain. The fund needs to be utilised before December 2010.
Now that we have funds we can energise our activities.
I request all of you to please come forward to take part in this programme to conduct these activities at your home base. While you volunteer for your time, IIMAR provides funds. The activities can happen anywhere in India. Please give wide publicity to this information
Regards
Dr. A.J Tamhankar
